They are peculiar but fascinating birds. Difficult to photograph as they don’t keep their heads still for long!

I can imagine it must be hard to catch them being still – and do you know why it had the orange-pink hue? likely their diet – right?

Yes, the iodine in the shrimp they eat makes them turn pinkish-orange. Exactly like shrimp and lobsters when they are cooked. 🙂
