And now for something completely different: the magic of being at the right place, at the right time. A wily old Heron in mid-flight over the Potomac falls where Maryland waves hello to Virginia just on the other side, and Virginia responds by taking a selfie with one of those long stick thingies. The magic of almost being in two places at once except for the fast flowing water in-between making a clear division in what’s left and what is right.

Some Nordic tattoos along it’s wings and it’ll have the hipster look down. 🙂

My pond doesn’t stand much chance against this waterfall,no matter what the Heron does!

It’s an impressive waterfall. We also see a lot of Great Blue Herons around these parts, especially at the falls. Although they do get dwarfed by the immense size of the Potomac river, and the huge boulders and trees that litter it.
Your pond and it’s wildlife is still very impressive. 😉

That chicken is very much enjoying his flight—and it’s a lovely shot. Boom boom!
